Fix a bike or sensor connection
Start here
- Confirm Bluetooth or Nearby Devices permission.
- Wake the bike and press a Pod button; its LED should blink.
- Wake sensors by wearing, spinning, or pedaling them.
- Keep the phone close and refresh.
- Close another phone or app that may own the connection.
- Restart BikeNet, then restart the motor unit if needed.
- Run System Check.
If the signal is weak
Move the phone closer to the motor and check both the Pod and motor batteries. Metal and carbon-fiber frames or handlebars can weaken radio signals, so avoid enclosing a wireless component inside them.
Run System Check to narrow down the problem. It can help distinguish a phone-to-motor connection issue from a Pod-to-motor issue, which prevents replacing or resetting the wrong part.
When to restart the motor
If the ordinary checks do not help, a brief one-to-two-second press of the red motor reset button restarts the unit without intentionally erasing its setup. Wake the system and run System Check again afterward.
Do not perform a factory reset unless BikeNet Support specifically instructs you to. A factory reset removes stored configuration and creates additional setup work.
