Choose a bike and check sensors
Choose a bike
- On the Ride screen, tap Bike or Choose bike.
- Select a bike from Stable.
- Optionally make it the favorite so it is selected first next time.
Why the bike choice matters
The selected bike tells BikeNet which wheel size, Bluetooth sensors, and—when fitted—NXS drivetrain and ANT+ sensors to use. When you save the ride, its distance is also added to that bike’s mileage in Stable. Choosing the wrong bike can therefore give you the wrong sensors during the ride and put the mileage on the wrong bike afterward.
Run the sensor check
Choose Connect sensors before starting to see whether your saved devices are awake and sending data. Wear and moisten a heart-rate strap, turn the cranks to wake cadence or power sensors, and spin the wheel to wake a speed sensor.
Many cycling sensors sleep to preserve their batteries. A sleeping sensor may look unavailable until it detects movement, so wake it and allow a few seconds before assuming there is a connection problem.
