Button mapping and gear lockout

Choose what Pod buttons control and which gear positions can be skipped.

Map a button

  1. Open the remote in Bike Setup and choose Map Buttons.
  2. Tap the rendered button.
  3. Choose a compatible function and target device.
  4. Repeat for other buttons and save.

Available functions

Depending on the connected hardware and firmware, a button may offer Shift Up, Shift Down, Toggle, Seatpost Lock, Seatpost Unlock, Auto Up, Auto Down, or Tune Mode. BikeNet only offers target devices that can perform the selected action.

If the firmware contains additional mappings that BikeNet does not manage, saving your changes preserves them.

Temporarily skip a gear

On supported rear shifting hardware, Skip Table prevents the system from selecting a particular gear while leaving the rest of the cassette setup unchanged. This can be useful as a temporary lockout if one cog cannot be used safely.

A skipped gear is not a repair. Correct the mechanical or setup problem, then re-enable the position. Test both button mappings and gear lockouts with the bike stationary before riding.
